Comic Description & Plot Outline

Almost a year has passed since I moved in to the house Jinji and his Ghosts built me as a Birthday present, and I’m still just as enamoured with it as ever! As I’m thinking about this upcoming anniversary and my Birthday, however, it occurs to me that despite Jinji building the house partially to give me a more pleasant location to host friends, I’ve had very few visitors. This gives me an idea — why don’t I host my own Birthday party this year, and invite all my friends to the house for one big party! But when you’re a Garbodor known for his stinky pranks, and you have a bunch of friends who also have their own quirky sense of humour, antics are sure to ensue!

Trivia and References

  • This comic is a direct sequel to my previous Birthday comic, That New House Smell.
    • The valve for swapping the bathwater between fresh and sewer water, for example, was mentioned as a feature of the house on Page 9 of the above comic.
  • Meuka appears to me in a video call to wish me a Happy Birthday. Jinji refers to him as a “slimy friend of his”, referencing how the two have interacted in three different “alternate universe” Jinji comics. However, this comic marks the first time he has ever interacted with myself, hence my unfamiliarity with him.
    • Later in the comic, Muk refers to Phantisserie as “Miss Haunter” as he is equally unfamiliar with her, though the two have clearly discussed the plan prior to the comic’s events.
  • AsianKid references a previous Pokémon World Online tournament in which the two of us were once opponents.
  • Team Russian Roulette is a long-defunct Guild in Pokémon World Online I used to operate. Musky is a former member of said Guild.
    • In addition, Jinji makes reference to Team Alchemy, which is an online nickname given to the group of myself, Zain and Jinji due to our mutual friendships.
  • The replica Digi-Eggs Zain offers me are based on each of his (aka Veemon’s) three possible Digivolutions. In addition, his clothing is styled after Flamedramon, one of these Digivolutions.
